The Fisher & Paykel Experience Center in Manhattan reimagines the luxury appliance showroom as a sequence of immersive kitchen and living environments, translating the brand’s New Zealand heritage through a distinctly New York lens.

The Fisher & Paykel Experience Center is a luxury appliance showroom located in Manhattan’s A&D Building. Developed under the concept of “refined sophistication,” the interior uses concealment and reduction to create a calm, residential atmosphere. A continuous acoustic ceiling grid unifies the showroom’s distinct kitchen and living environments.
The acoustic felt cells absorb sound during events, while the open grid conceals sprinklers, ductwork, mechanical equipment, AV systems, conduit, plumbing, and structure above a consistent datum.
A central scullery and catering kitchen form the core of the plan, dividing the showroom into four quadrants: the reception area and three materially distinct kitchens representing the brand’s product lines.
