• Omaha, Nebraska

  • Hanscom is an adaptive reuse of an 1890 Victorian mansion converted from a single-family home into a multi-family residence in the Hanscom Park neighborhood of downtown Omaha, Nebraska. After the property was rezoned for medium density housing, it faced potential demolition from developer investors. We pivoted instead to rehabilitate the structure by both restoring the original architectural details, while also only modifying architecturally and historically insignificant components to allow for the division into apartment units. This included restoration of original wood floors, trim, molding, siding, windows, hardware, as well as gut renovations of bathrooms and kitchens.
